Hi, welcome to Oleo Acres.
I’ve had several blogs in the past, some were on major thoroughfares like LiveJournal, others were privately hosted on my own websites, and weren’t heavily traveled. Which is fine, not everyone expects their blogs to explode upon the masses, and be treated like manna from heaven. Again, like many people, I write for myself mostly, not to fit into any specific niche, or to cater to some groups’ whims.
I had this idea of talking and writing about my past, since being a purveyor of history, I want something tangible for memories, which is where a lot of history is related. From oral history to something more esoteric, what we share is how people remember, and how people connect. I saw a meme on Facebook one day that said basically, in 100 years there will be someone else living in my home, using my things (perhaps less time than that) and basically my history will by and large be relegated to the dust heap. But that’s ok. I’m not looking to be memorialized, that’s what a headstone is for.
I write as often as I have time, and when the mood strikes. I also have 2 other blogs that I write in, so hopefully this one won’t get neglected. Honestly, I didn’t spend the $$ in order to register the domain to waste the money, but I have done that before. I’m trying not to do it now. Time will tell how successful I am.
If you want to know more about the site, here’s where you find that. As for the rest, it’ll be arriving as soon as I pry it out of my brain. Thanks for reading, and I’ll be talking again soon. Have a great day.
